If you are a sophisticated and, at the same time a oh, so feminine! woman and would love your wedding dress to be very romantic, but hate all the excessive tule, lace and bows you see around… Then, Elizabeth Stuart‘s fall 2014 collection will win your heart!
I remember exactly how I felt when I saw Elizabeth Stuart’s Fall 2014 runway show. I was in awe… and also a bit angry: why didn’t I find these before my own wedding? But mostly I was happy to have found a designer that was so refreshing. Reading about the brand on their website, I found that Elizabeth was so frustrated when shopping for her own wedding dress, that she decided to create her own collection. And that impressed me even more. I love women who take initiative and who want to make other people’s life easier. So, I posted a picture on Instagram, which was so popular, that I had share the whole show with you here, at My Love For Weddings.

I contacted Elisabeth Stuart’s crew and they were extremely thoughtful. They sent me the pictures of the catwalk and also shared amazing news. Elizabeth Stuart has created a set of limited edition wedding favour pin badges exclusively for Cancer Research UK. Since their launch in February, over 5000 of the Elizabeth Stuart pins have been ordered and they have contributed to CRUK‘s highest ever number of favour orders in the month of June. Elizabeth Stuart’s collaboration with have helped to bring the total raised through wedding favours to over £2 million since 2007.Since February, the Elizabeth Stuart badges alone have raised approx. £12.5k! Due to the popularity of the Elizabeth Stuart pins, the designs will be carried over into 2015. The pins are available to buy at http://giveincelebration.cancerresearchuk.org/
“Romantic designs reach a peak of breathtaking emphasis on the beauty of the female body placing it on a pedestal, with necklines that emphasize the beauty of a woman’s neck and shoulders, including soft feminine bodices that capture the beautiful curves of her bust and back, rivaling Venus herself. Luxurious skirts, that are a work of art in design, with careful consideration of every fold and detail to flow flatteringly from a woman’s hips, while accentuating her feminine waist, make these bridal designs even more desirable.”
The fashion show was organized independently, held in London early April, in support of Cancer Research UK, an event beautifully styled by fellow blogger and wedding planner/stylist Penelope Cullen of Love Scarlett.
These are just some of my favourite pieces. And what do you think?
We really encourage you to have a look a the entire collection, here.
