Elizabeth♥Thomas: a Beautiful Danish Traditional Wedding

Today is “Through back Thursday” and I am going to have an exception here. I will show you the video of a wedding between two people from the same country: Denmark. I will do that for two main reasons.

First, today Elizabeth and Thomas celebrate their 4th wedding anniversary! And I would like to congratulate them and send wishes of a continuously happy marriage, where the couple finds on each other the constant partner to evolve and grow and romance always has a place.

Second, Elizabeth is the author of Pretty Chic Blog – Modern Scandinavian Weddings. I loved her blog. It was an inspiration not only to my own wedding, but also to this blog you’re reading :)  Unfortunately Pretty Chic  not running since last year, but it is still one of my favorite sources and you should definitely have a look. By the way, you should have a look at the fantastic work Elizabeth is developing now: Juul Creative – feminine web design for bloggers.

Well… after being her fan, it was a great pleasure to meet her in person. We shared our working studio for some months, which gave me a chance to know her a little better. She is so kind and generous! She has such a good taste (you’ll know what I am talking about after you watch the video) and creative ideas and is always ready to help.

The other day I went to Berlin and Elizabeth was there. We decided to meet and I got to know Thomas. He is also sweet and very lively. They are perfect together.

I’ll let you watch the video now. Details worth attention: the knitted cardigan that Elizabeth with the dress: a perfect touch of style and personality. The lovely boat tour after the ceremony. The Danish kissing traditions: when the guests bang on their plates with their knife or fork, the newlyweds have to climb onto their chairs and kiss! When the guests stamp their feet, the pair has to kiss under the table.

And, after you’re done, remember to share your thoughts bellow, on the comments section.

I am Alessandra. Nice to meet you :) This is my story. In August 2008 I left my native Brazil, my darling friends and family, and a promising attorney career to go after my dreams of a better world and take a master program in human rights law, in Sweden. A lot has happened since… and after living in Lund, Paris and Geneva, I arrived in Copenhagen, in the end of 2011, to share my life with my beloved Danish boyfriend, now husband.I used to be the kind of girl who planned traveling around the world, getting to know different cultures, maturing while exposing myself to the unknown. Honestly, I don’t remember ever dreaming of wedding flowers or dresses. Until… Well, until my cherished viking surprised me with the perfect proposal and we decided to get married...
