Thanks to you all, we have over one thousand reasons to celebrate: the blog achieved 1012 “likes” on its Facebook page. And the most surprising is that we have achieved this number in less than a month after the blog was launched. The post where I show you my own wedding video is calling a lot of attention and it was showed on Vestida de Noiva, which is, in our opinion, the best wedding blog in Brazil. It had over 200 views on Vímeo and many shares.
I can only thank Brigadeiro Filmes who have captured our Danish wedding with so much sensibility. And made the best wedding video ever ;) I wouldn’t blink before recommending them. They are based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, but they make weddings around the world. And I was so lucky they were available on our wedding date!
And off course, I would like to thank our other partners too. Duo Borgatto, whose gorgeous images often illustrate our posts. Silver Lining, for the oh, so useful style tips. Amanda Thomsen and Lina Ahnoff for being the best work-mates EVER and for inspiring with some of the prettiest wedding photos I have seen.
Finally, I would like to apologize and explain why the blog has been so quiet lately. Since the 30th of May, I am in Brazil. And it’s the first time in 6 years I am here in the month of June, which is my favorite. It’s winter here, and the temperatures are milder, but still warm. It feels like a Northern European summer. It’s alsoValentine’s day!!! Yes, Valentine’s day in Brazil is in June – actually Saint Antony’s day, but it is celebrated the same way as Valentine’s day. And it’s a month full of street parties, called June parties, with delicious typical food and a lot of dancing around the bonfire. Just precious!
And this year, June in Brazil is even more special, because we are hosting FIFA’s World Cup. Whenever there is a world cup, no matter where, the whole county turns into a party. It’s super fun and part of why we are here. The other reason is because we are having a second honeymoon. Brides and grooms-to-be. ..If you plan to weddings, please make sure you also have two honeymoons. Or at least a very long one. I really needed some vacation, one week in a paradise island was good, but far from enough.
So we are here, enjoying football, the mountains of Minas Gerais, my home state and soon Brazilian Valentine’s day. But in July we will be back, with a Brazilian week, where I will tell everything about my Brazilian wedding, Brazilian wedding culture and traditions and also the best of Brazilian Bridal Fashion.
